Level 1: Dancers in our Level 1 Class are either new to dance or have just graduated from our Combo 3 Class. Students in Level 1 are eligible to take Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. In Level 1, dancers begin to learn proper technique in addition to continued work on musicality and terminology. Students in Level 1 must take Ballet in order to take Jazz. Tap is highly encouraged. Typical ages: 8-11
Level 2: Level 2 is a continuation of basic technique, musicality, and terminology with additional rhythms and concepts added. (Students must complete Level 1). Students taking Lyrical must also take Ballet. Typical Ages: 9-11.
Level 3 In addition to working on established technique, dancers in Level 3 also incorporate physicality, stretch, and strength into their dance training. Students continue to learn how to count music and performance quality is stressed. (Students must be enrolled in Ballet to take Lyrical). Typical ages: 10-12.
Level 4 Dancers in Level 4 continue to enhance their technique, performance quality and musicality, in addition to learning about improvisation. Physicality, stretch, and strength are emphasized. (Students must be enrolled in Ballet to take Lyrical). Level 4 is typically a 2 year program. Typical Ages: 11-14
Level 5 Dancers work on bringing together a strong technique with a higher level of performance and an understanding of music. Stretch and strength is important. (Students must be enrolled in Ballet in order to take Lyrical). Level 5 is typically a 2 year program. Typical Ages: 12-14
